Sonic Fingerprints

Last week we received a receipt and notification from USCIS that we were to have our fingerprints done at their Application Support Center in Dover, DE between 7/12 and 7/21. The paper did list Saturday hours from 8AM to 4PM, so that was a winner.  Yesterday, we drove down to Dover in the early AM – so as to avoid beach traffic heading to Rehoboth – to accomplish this mission.  I was worried that there would be a crowd, but we were the only folks in the center being fingerprinted at that time. It was a snap.

After completing the main objective of this trip, we were also able to complete a few side missions. We had a few forms notarized to authorize Baltimore City to release background check information to the state of Delaware for completion of the required 5 year criminal and child abuse background check.  We were directed to the Windswept Copy Center in Dover by the Post Office. Interestingly, the notary was also named Benjamin Todd.

And the most long-awaited leg of the journey – we finally visited Sonic. Sonic has been tormenting us for years with their television advertisements for cherry limeade and banana cream pie shakes, however up until recently there had been NO Sonic restaurants anywhere nearby. Why the commericals? Who knows.  Regardless, the food was good. We drove into a parking spot, ordered, and food was delivered to us. Interesting experience. Ben was not disappointed by the banana cream pie shake. We’ll be back, but probably not that often.

Sonic is southern. We have one down Whiskey Road, the main Southside of town road, and the one I live off of. Now that I am on vytorin, I might stop by my Sonic for a supersonic something.
